New to Storage
Don’t go in blind! We’re here to help make your storage experience easy.
We’ll help you get there. Once you have access to your storage unit, it’s time to stash your belongings. But how you pack means getting more out of your new space!
Larger and more infrequently used items should go in the back of the unit. Remember to keep a walkway in the center of your unit to more easily access items. Always keep items labeled and a list of items stored, even a photo on the outside of each box will allow you to "see" what's inside.

Things to Know When Renting a Storage Unit
Show up with the things you need and stay in the loop! New renters often want to know:
How do I protect my stored items?
Drive-up storage units are best for durable items that can handle a little heat or cold, but we recommend using dust covers and storing valuable items in sealed containers. Check on your items regularly to ensure their condition.
What do I need to bring?
For your first visit, bring a sturdy lock and your driver’s license. You’ll need your gate code for repeat visits, so make sure to record it somewhere safe but within your reach!
Can I live or sleep in a storage unit?
Not only is that not safe, it’s not legal! Your storage unit is for storage only. Using a storage unit for its intended purpose keeps your storage facility safer and more inviting for everyone.
What happens if my stored items get damaged?
We take every measure to ensure your belongings’ safety, but we can’t guarantee the condition they stay in. A storage unit rental covers the space to store, but isn’t an assurance of protection. If you want advice on keeping your stored items safer beyond these recommendations, give us a call!
Are There Items I Shouldn’t Store?
Avoid storing these items – for your safety and your neighbors’ well-being! Do NOT store:
Liquids
Explosives
Flammable liquids
Toxic materials
Perishables
Animals
